The House of the Rising Sun Backing Track - 120bpm
The House of the Rising Sun Backing Track - An accompaniment track for practicing solos on this famous song.
This is an American folk song that has been recorded by many artists in various versions, the oldest ones being by Clarence "Tom" Ashley, Doc Walsh and Gwen Foster and Callahan Brothers in the 1930s. In the 1940s it was recorded by Woody Guthrie, Josh White and Huddie "Lead Belly" and in the 1960s received versions of Joan Baez, Bob Dylan, Nina Simone, Los Speakers, Frijid Pink and The Animals, the latter with a commercially successful version. The German band Scorpions also contributed a version of this song in the 1980s.
Here the music student, even if a beginner, will not find it difficult to solo on this harmonic progression, the chords are in the harmonic field of A minor with the exception of the D chord which is a borrowed chord, this is a point that should receive greater attention from the improviser.
The instruments that are part of this backing track are: Drums, Bass, Piano and Guitar. The tempo is at 120bpm.
