"Opus One", also called "Opus No.1" or "Opus #1", is a jazz standard composed in 1943 by trumpeter arranger, composer, singer and bandleader Sy Oliver. This song was part of the soundtrack of the musical film "Broadway Rhythm" by MGM in 1944. This theme uses the traditional 32-bar AABA form, quite common for compositions of that time.

Several artists have interpreted and recorded this song, names like Tommy Dorsey, Gene Krupa, Buddy Rich, Anita O'Day, Terry Gibbs, Emmet Cohen, The Mills Brothers, Harry James and many others.

This jazz standard can be found in "Real Book vol.4" on page 333.
