Joy Spring Backing Track - Another Jazz Standard essential to the study of every student of the art of musical improvisation.

Joy Spring is a 1954 composition by Clifford Brown. The title of this theme is the nickname of Laurie, his wife.

Here the student will encounter several challenges, there are some modulations, different cadences II-V and II-V-I etc. But with attention it is possible to achieve full understanding and, consequently, a fluid improvisation.

Jazz greats played this theme, artists like Oscar Peterson, Ray Brown, Herb Ellis, Gary Burton, Joe Pass, Stan Getz, Freddie Hubbard, Larry Coryell, Emily Remler, McCoy Tyner, Arturo Sandoval, Tito Puente, Billy Taylor, Larry Coryell, Buddy Rich and others.

This backing track consists of drums, double bass and piano. The tempo is at 150bpm.
