"Invitation" is a song composed in 1950 by Bronisław Kaper with lyrics by Paul Francis Webster. It was part of the soundtrack of the movie "A Life of Her Own" (1950) directed by George Cukor and "Invitation" (1952) directed by Gottfried Reinhardt, after this last movie the song became adopted as a jazz standard.
