"Manhã de Carnaval" is a bossa nova song composed in the late 50s by Luiz Bonfá and Antônio Maria. It is also common to find it under the name "Black Orpheus" due to the great success of the film directed by French filmmaker Marcel Camus, who won the Oscar for best foreign film in 1960, based on the play "Orfeu da Conceição" by Vinicius de Moraes. This song helped consolidate the bossa nova movement and give this style worldwide respect.
