Bessie's Blues Backing Track Jazz - In this jam track the improviser will be able to apply his knowledge about this fast blues by John Coltrane.

This coltrane blues was composed in honor of Bessie Smith, the Empress of the Blues, and has a traditional blues cadence. This is an excellent theme for practicing blue jazz phrasing.

It is interesting to hear other interpretations of this blues such as those made by Elvin Jones, Chick Corea, Idris Muhammad, Frank Morgan, Charles Thomas, Roy Haynes, John Abercrombie, McCoy Tyner and others.

This backing track consists of drums, double bass and piano. The tempo is at 180bpm.
