A Foggy Day NO BASS Jazz Backing Track - Here the bassist can practice his bass lines on this beautiful song by George Gershwin.

"A Foggy Day" is a composition by George Gershwin with lyrics by his older brother Ira Gershwin. It was released in 1937 alongside the film "A Damsel in Distress" starring Fred Astaire, Joan Fontaine, George Burns and Gracie Allen. Originally the song is titled "A Foggy Day (In London Town)" in reference to the smog caused by pollution that was common in London at that time.

This song is considered a jazz standard and has already been performed by great artists like Frank Sinatra, Ella Fitzgerald, Charles Mingus, Louis Armstrong, Billie Holiday, Red Garland, Erroll Garner, Benny Carter, George Benson, Sarah Vaughan, Wynton Marsalis, Tony Bennett, Joe Pass, Grant Green, Ahmad Jamal, Oscar Peterson, Lester Young, Chet Baker, among others.

This theme can be found in the "Real Book vol.1" on page 6.

This backing track consists of drum and piano. The tempo is at 140bpm.
