Honeysuckle Rose Backing Track Jazz - 160bpm
Honeysuckle Rose Backing Track Jazz - This jazz theme is very welcome in any jam session. Practice it with our Backing Track.
"Honeysuckle Rose" was composed in 1929 by the pianist Fats Waller, the lyrics are by Andy Razaf. This theme served as the basis for Charlie Parker's famous theme "Scrapple from the Apple". However, it is important to note that, although it appears, the "Honeysuckle Rose" bridge is not the one traditionally used in rhythm changes, but an I7-IV7-II7-V7 progression.
This song has already been performed by great singers and instrumentalists, including Fletcher Henderson, Mildred Bailey, Count Basie, Coleman Hawkins, Ben Webster, Benny Carter, Thelonious Monk, Bill Evans, Django Reinhardt, Stéphane Grappelli, Earl Hines, Charlie Christian , Bucky Pizzarelli, Louis Armstrong, Jack Teagarden, Benny Goodman, Teddy Wilson, Lester Young, Louis Jordan, Nat King Cole, Ella Fitzgerald, Sarah Vaughan, Anita O'Day, Jane Monheit, Eva Cassidy, Lena Horne and many others.
