The student will have several opportunities to put into practice many of the things he learned with improvisation, just be aware of the harmony, there are many inversions of chords (characteristic common to bossa nova) that hide well-known cadences, an example is the passage where it appears | Gm7 | C/Bb | Am7 |; if we analyze carefully we will see that it is a cadence II-V-I where we have an inversion of C7 with the bass in the seventh and Am7 as an inversion of Fmaj7. Bossa nova is a very fertile ground for advanced harmony learning.
