Opus One NO BASS Backing Track Jazz – Add bass lines to this jazz standard that was a huge hit with the Tommy Dorsey Orchestra.

“Opus One”, also called “Opus No.1” or “Opus #1”, is a jazz standard composed in 1943 by trumpeter arranger, composer, singer and bandleader Sy Oliver. This song was part of the soundtrack for the 1944 MGM musical film “Broadway Rhythm.” This theme uses the traditional 32-bar AABA form, quite common for compositions of that time.

Several artists have performed and recorded this song, including Tommy Dorsey, Gene Krupa, Buddy Rich, Anita O’Day, Terry Gibbs, Emmet Cohen, The Mills Brothers, Harry James and many others.

This jazz standard can be found in the “Real Book vol.4” on page 333.

This backing track is composed of drums and piano. The tempo is 160bpm.
