Flintstones Theme DRUM AND BASS Backing Track Jazz – Play and improvise over one of the most recognizable theme songs of all time.

“Meet the Flintstones”, also known simply as “Flintstones Theme” was composed in 1961 by Hoyt Curtin for the 1960s television series. The melody is believed to have been inspired by part of the ‘B’ section of Beethoven’s Piano Sonata No. 17.

This is a Rhythm Changes in Bb, those who are already familiar with this harmonic construction will be able to apply their knowledge more easily.

Rhythm Changes is based on the same chord progression used in George Gershwin’s “I Got Rhythm”, as well as several other jazz standards such as “Oleo” and “Eternal Triangle”. This theme has an AABA form of 32 measures.

This theme has been played by several high-level instrumentalists such as Kenny Burrell, George Barnes, Herb Ellis, Barney Kessel, Ray Brown etc.

This jazz standard can be found in the “Real Book vol.2” on page 100.

This backing track consists of drums and double bass. The tempo is 250bpm.
